Founder

Akansha Agrawal

Phoenix Health was founded by Akansha Agrawal, who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes as a young adult in India. Faced with limited awareness and resources, she spent years navigating how to effectively manage her condition while pursuing her education.
Her journey took her from India to England, where she gained coaching through the NHS, including the DAFNE program, and later to the United States, where she learned T1D management from leading diabetologists and nutritionists in Washington, D.C., and New York City.
Through this global experience, Akansha discovered that with the right education, coaching, and mindset, it is possible to lead a healthy, balanced, and fulfilling life with Type 1 Diabetes.
Driven by this vision, she founded Phoenix Health to empower others living with Type 1 Diabetes to take control of their health and live the life they choose—without compromise. Phoenix Health stands for knowledge, sustainability, and freedom from stigma—helping individuals rise stronger, like a Phoenix, with every challenge.

Co-Founder

Akshul Agrawal

Akshul Agrawal, co-founder of Phoenix Health, is committed to raising awareness around Type 1 Diabetes and supporting both individuals with T1D and their guardians. Having been a guardian to a Type 1 diabetic for almost a decade, Akshul brings firsthand experience in navigating the challenges of blood sugar lows and managing highs. He understands that T1D impacts not only those living with it but also their loved ones, and that both need comprehensive, compassionate support.
Driven by a passion to empower both diabetics and their guardians to live a life of choice, his mission is clear: to eliminate the social stigma surrounding T1D, raise awareness, and make Type 1 Diabetes management accessible to everyone, with compassion at its core.
